Halloween is here and as a special treat we tasked our property search team with a difficult brief: a spooky gothic pile with a contemporary feel that won't scare your dates away. After an intensive search they came up with this luxury 2 bedroom penthouse apartment in a suitably gothic church conversion in Dartmouth Park, a stone's throw away from Hampstead Heath.

What we love:
The contrast between the gothic exterior of the building and the light, contemporary fit-out of the apartment. The double-height entrance hallway and mezzanine overlooking the front elevation with stained glass and pointed arch is particularly impressive.
What can be improved:
The slick contemporary interior is nice enough, but wouldn't it be fun to add a few gothic touches to reference the history of the building? A four-poster bed perhaps, or maybe a video installation showing Sleepy Hollow on a loop.
