When one mentions canal-side apartments in Amsterdam, images of slim houses with overhanging gables and quaint interiors immediately pop into one's head. Nothing can be further from this twee picture with this slick, modern loft near the northern end of Prinsengracht, one of the grand canals in the centre of the city. What we love:
The location, the panoramic views from the huge windows, the top-spec kitchen (gas and induction hobs!), the super-slick bathroom, the wow-roof terrace and space space space - what's not to love?
What can be improved:
The top floor is one huge space with the bathroom at the end of it. It would be much better to partition the space to create a master bedroom with the existing bathroom as an ensuite and a guest bedroom with a new bathroom. Afterall, with such an amazing apartment, all your friends will want to visit.
