House LG by Deferarri + Modesti
Design Blues
Designed by Deferrari + Modesti architects, this 170 square metre apartment in Prato, Italy sits on multiple levels, unified by the use of clever design features and a fetching shade of blue.
Light wood floors, white walls and discrete lighting provide a neutral backdrop. The living room is dominated by a teak slat wall with sleek metal shelves in a contrasting Cerulean blue. The same shade can be seen in the custom-built cabinets as well as the central staircase. The latter is the focal point of the apartment, the decorative metal frame providing structural support, storage and also acting as a playful climbing frame. Decorated with pops of bright colours and plenty of greenery, this apartment feels bright, contemporary and full of life.
