Tribeca Loft by Andrew Franz Architecture
Urban Oasis
Industrial style lofts are not usually associated with open green spaces, which is why this penthouse apartment in a former caviar warehouse in New York is so refreshing.
The architects at Andrew Franz Architecture created a mezzanine which provides access to the roof terrace. The mezzanine is fitted with an ingenious sliding glass roof which floods the apartment with natural light when it is retracted. When it is open the mezzanine is transformed into a gem of an open courtyard, a semi-enclosed outdoor space half-way to the roof terrace.
Inside the apartment original features such as the wooden columns and brick walls have been retained. These are complemented by a mix of classic, contemporary and custom-built furniture, creating a luxurious and inviting atmosphere. This is an outstanding loft apartment perfect for those who crave outdoor space in the heart of a big city.
