Contrast and Balance
Tiberiu Cojocaru is the designer behind Eero Moss. His works are inspired by the beauty of nature, especially the bountiful forests of his native Romania, and shaped by his training as a naval architect. The influence of this boat-builder past can perhaps be gleaned from his designs, with fluid, streamlined shapes in harmonious balance with flat planes and angular supports. At the same time the contrast in finishes, from the smooth table tops to the rough, dimpled surfaces which resemble tree bark, showcases his passion for the material. The works of Eero Moss include tables, shelves and other furniture, all hand carved from solid ash and walnut in limited editions and one-off commissions.
Designer
Tiberiu Cojacaru is a Romanian designer who hand-crafts highly sculptural furniture from solid wood. He started his training as a naval architect but decided to pursue his artistic freedom as a free-spirited design-maker. His works have been shown in collectible fairs and exhibitions around the world, including Alcova in Milan and at the Stockholm Furniture Fair.
