Nasu Tepee by Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP
Tent Living
In a highly urbanised country like Japan it is a dream of many to be able to live in the countryside. This couple from Nasu in Tochigi prefecture went one better and built a tepee-shaped house which sits in the middle of a dense wood.
The unusual conical shape of the house helps the structure to blend into the surrounding wood and provides the interior with plenty of natural light, thanks to the very tall ceilings. A truly imaginative and poetic interpretation of the well known tepee structure.

Product Inspiration
It's back to nature with our selection of furniture: think wood, straw and cork with the Kimua bench from Alki and the Treasure Table from Frederik Roije.
Wood veneer lights can look naturalistic and flamboyant, just look at the stunning Mini Mikado suspension light from LZF. Alternatively go for something like the Cape suspension light from Moustache, inspired by flowers yet thoroughly contemporary.
For nature inspired but slightly quirky accessories look no further than the ceramics collection from Sena Gu. We also love the wooden birds from Splinter, which are great for adding a touch of woodland to any interior space.
