Mima Light House from Mima
Floating in Nature
Architectural practice Mima has designed a modular house which is truly at one with nature.
The box-shaped modules, which range in size from 21 to 32 square metres, have their bases lined with mirror, which create the illusion that the house is floating above the ground. The design of the house is an exercise in discretion, with the use of uniform materials (aluminium and glass on the outside, pine inside) accentuating the minimalist design, all the better for helping to focus on the views outside.

The slick, contemporary profile of the Kuskoa chair from Alki and the Helsinki table from Desalto would suit a minimalist design scheme perfectly.
For discrete, minimalist lighting try the Hi-Collar wall light from LZF and the Skylight Tower suspension light from Frederik Roije.
A sleek kitchen and living area demands sleek accessories such as the ABCT range of cookware from KN Industrie and the W/W carafe and glasses set from Menu.
