The Megaphone is a passive amplifier for the iPhone or iPod Touch.
We decided to return back to the our roots, when designig the Megaphone. We have chosen traditional materials used in ancient manfacture: wood and ceramic. Ceramic is a glassy material which helps convey sound vibratioins, while the tripod, is made out of hardwood, and is designed to minize the contact area between the body and the base.
The materials we have chosen are natural, eco friendly and have always been a part of our environment. They belong to human culture in a deeper way than plastic and electronics of the 21st century.
The tripod is made of Italian walnut, used by our ancestors to build anything from houses to the toools we use eveyday, like ladles or tableware. The ceramic used for the Megaphone is produced in Nove, in the province of Vicenza, Italy.
